Brief: ISDA 202 starts with a detailed discussion of the impact of Obama’s Financial Reform act on trading under ISDAs and trading with banks .  How will trading evolve?  Next, the focus is on the credit and default provisions of the ISDA forms, AND the special provisions added by commercial banks, investment banks, hedge funds and majors to their ISDA’s. Examples of special provisions will be provided and reviewed in detail. There will be an in-depth discussion of the “safe harbor” in bankruptcy for trading contracts and triangular netting after the SemCrude bankruptcy decision. There will also be negotiation exercises on the special provisions. It is recommended that attendees to this seminar have previously negotiated at least one ISDA, or have completed the OTC Derivatives & Master Agreements course. *Energy Seminars, Inc. is neither affiliated nor associated with the International Swaps and Derivatives Association, Inc.
